SAMTROY

Samtroy; Is a New Zealand born and raised, Fukuoka, Japan based Tech House, House and Deep Tech DJ/producer and Alumni of the famed Toolroom Academy. He has played Australia, Japan and Vietnam.
After relocating to Japan, Samtroy quickly established himself in the Japan Club scene with his technical ability and musical selection. He has played at various club not only throughout Japan, but also in Vietnam and Australia. He has had the privilege to DJ alongside and support international artists such as; Mark Knight, Dosem, David Morales and Yotto.

In 2013 he decided to start learning to produce music. His first official release was in 2014 on B4DJs, followed by an EP in 2016 on Cyprus based label Mosaic Sound System. In 2019 he decided to go full time as an Artist; Releases followed on Tokyo based label Housetribe Deep and London based Label; Bbop Recordings with a 4 Ep release in 2023.
During 2023 Samtroy joined the Toolroom Academy, joining the production masterclass with D.Ramirez; graduating in September of 2023.

Samtroy started 2024 with his first release; `Tell Ya Story Walkin' on Toolroom Trax on the "Leaders of the New School" Album. It was met with positive results, peaking at number 42 on Traxsource Tech House Top 100 Chart. On March 8th Samtroy made his Debut on Get Down Recordings with "This Thing We Got" collaborating with DJ Spy(USA) and in May his debut on LouLou Records with his EP; "I`m Not Gonna Lie".
Looking ahead Samtroy has upcoming releases on Housetribe Deep and Camel Music. He is also has some collaboration projects in the works with other Toolroom artists and Academy graduates.
